Olá,
Como que esta coisas? Well things for me are great. they have gotten so much better than they were when I first got here. I can actually understand what is being said most of the time, or atleast get the main idea. We had a district meeting and I was able to participate and answer questions. It is a good feeling to know that the Lord is helping me. My mision president and other Brazilian missionaries say that they are surprised at how well I can already speak. They say I almost have no accent. I am so happy to be doing better. I just need to be more patient and it will come.
It has been so cold here the past couple of weeks. It has rained almost everyday and the wind is very cold. I didn´t expect Brazil to be like this. So this coming saturday I have my first baptism. I will be baptising Mariza. I´m not sure why she chose me to but I will gladly do so.
We had a really interesting expirience yesterday. We left our lunch appointment and started walking, my companion got the feeling we should turn around and go to a different house. Well the address he had was a wrong address so we then headed back the other way and ran into a boy that I had contacted last week. He asked why we hadn´t stopped by his house yet and that he had been waiting to talk with us. It´s interesting because if we wouldn´t have turned around we wouldn´t have ran into him. Anyway we set a time and met with him later in the afternoon.
When we arrived we started telling him a little about the church and his dad came out of the other room with a really old and warn out Book of Mormon. He said he had read it but never went to church. He looks about 60 but is 80 and a widdower of two wives. He has in total 32 kids. I was astonished to hear that kind of a number.
Jimicarter is the name of the boy. He´s only 15 and is very interested in the church. As we taught him the spirit was strong and he told me he had a dream about going to a big white church but he had never seen it in his life or ever heard of a church with a building like that. We showed him a picture of the temple and explained how families can be seadled together for eternity. He said "Ya that´s it. Thats the church that was in my dream." I am so amazed at how the Lord has used me and led me to those who are ready to hear the truth and accept him and follow his commandments.
Well it´s now time to go so I will end this, I know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. It is the only church with the authority from God to baptize and perform ordinances. I know this because of the spirit and the feelings I have had since I have been here. It is amazing, in Galations 5:22 It explains the feelings of the Holy Ghost and how to identify it. Pray and try to feel these things. Remember That I love you all and you are in my prayers.
Tchau,
Elder Levingston

Probably the biggest thing Jason and I can say to you is PRAY PRAY PRAY. It will get easier!! (As to RM's can attest to). I remember how hard things were at the beginning but the prophets (and your mission president) are right when they say "Get to work!" That truely is what makes the mission experience go much smoother.
